Elijes el tema y apretas customizar, y finalmente colores.

es: Podrías editar el archivo comprimido, dentro viene un típico archivo de configuracion en XML donde esta el color de fondo en hexadecimal, o alguna imagen que se repite.

Me da lata traducir a inglés:

Abres el comprimido, carpeta gtk-2.0, archivo "gtkrc" dentro tiene toda la configuracion del tema. Lee esto también:
