Hey folks,

I'm just kind of inspired today, you know, when you feel emotional and that urge of sharing this happiness with others is so great. So, I though I'd share some great Brazilian music. Cultural exchange is a healthy thing to do! So, share the great music from your country/culture too!

Pop/Rock

* Nenhum de Nós:

* Papas da Língua
* Capital Inicial
* Engenheiros do Hawaii

I'm listening "Vou deixar que você se vá" sang by Nenhum de Nós (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8wf7AFS5GUk).
Great song!

These are the ones I can think as of now... there are many others, from other Brazilian music genres, such as Zeca Pagodinho which sings Pagode, a Rio de Janeiro-specific music genre.

I will update as I remember of other cool artists. Contributions are welcome!

EDIT HISTORY:
* Added link to the unplugged video for "Vou deixar que você se vá" (youtube)
* Added link to the unplugged video for "Você vai lembrar de mim" sang by Nenhum de Nós (youtube)
* Added another Nenhum de Nós music, structured things a little bit.

How about "Equalize" by Pitty, or almost every song by Marjorie Estiano?

Yeah! Great songs and artists... thanks for sharing :)

Btw, Marjorie has been a big hit here... she even acted in a a recent soap opera (Soap Operas are very popular around here). She has some great songs, indeed.

EDIT: There's Sepultura, too.

My faourite band from Brazil used to be Sepultura, but I don't really listen to that genre any more.

Neither do I. I'm not very fond of hard rock. Btw, Sepultura is a niche here in Brazil, they don't make much noise here, their success is mostly based on other countries.

I love Brazilian lounge music. I can understand some of the words in the songs. World music is definitely a good genre to explore.
