First of all, I didn't know where to post this, so sorry if this is the wrong place. I am trying to program a fullscreen 2D game in Java, but I cannot change the display mode because Java (rightfully) won't let you change display modes while xinerama is in use. However, I am using just my laptop (and therefore, only one screen), but xinerama is still reported present. This is preventing me from changing display modes in Java. I am running Hardy Heron (8.04) on an IBM thinkpad t60. I don't plan on using more than one monitor, so is there any way to completely disable/remove xinerama altogether?
