View Full Version : Problem in ubuntu install

i have installed ubuntu 8.04 using Wubi and after reboot and see the the boot option
1-windows xp proffesional.
2-Ubuntu
i selected ubuntu and then the logo came out with the orange progress bar then it takes 5 minute until it turned dark with some words in white like
[165.812795]ata2.01:Exception Emask 0x0 SErr 0x0 action 0x2 frozen

and a lot like that i tried to press Esc to enter the 4 options and all of them led to this black page with errors .
please help me in this .
My pc is :
intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 CPU 1.80GHz
GeForce2 MX/MX 400 [NV11]
384 RAM

Hello blackhock,
Seems you are having a problem in your CD/DVD settings. Try removing your CD/DVD completely from your PC and then try to boot. If this worked fine, then you need to make sure that your CD/DVD is configured as Master.
