View Full Version : [ubuntu] 8.04 LTS - Kernel Panic upon demo/installation

I am attempting to test-drive Ubuntu, love the concept of the Live CD, but when I try to boot either to Live CD mode, or to install, it results in a kernel panic. I'm not even certain what it is I am looking at, much less, where to view a full boot log so I can upload it [or at very least, scroll back to type it all].

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

System specs:

Intel Core 2 Duo E6400
2 GB RAM OCZ [OCZN800SR1G]
2 x MSI nVidia 8800GT OC Video Cards [SLI]

Resolved -- downloaded ISO checksum did not match, re-downloaded from a different source, all works nicely now, except for the memory test, it just sits at a black screen, but thats another issue.

Close thread -- resolved
