View Full Version : [ubuntu] Editing videos made w/ Flip Video Cam

Hello,

I bought a flip video cam, and, as usual, was pleased to see that it worked w/ Ubuntu ootb.

However, the built-in editing software is only for Windows of MacOS. :(

I've tried to edit in Avidemux, but when I save a new (edited) version of the video, Avidemux can't initialize the audio track, and also saves as a text file.

Does anyone use a Flip cam and know how I could edit my videos?

PS The videos are saved in .avi format -- so I'd guess anyone who knows how to edit .avi videos could help, whether they use flip or not.

THANKS given to anyone who can help! :)

Bump.

I have the same issue. I'm looking to give my daughter a Flip video camera for her birthday. Does anybody know if the videos can be (easily) made to work with Ubuntu? Personally, I'm running 7.10.
