I've recently switched to Ubuntu from Windows, and I'm having trouble configuring the power management for my Toshiba M55-S139
Problem: After closing the laptop or even just leaving it open, once the computer goes into a hibernate/standby, it refuses to start-up. I hear the HD working, but the screen remains black. I cannot get back to the desktop without restarting the computer
Tried solutions:
1) Ctrl-Alt-F1 to either Ctrl-Alt or Ctrl-Alt-F7
2) Ctrl-Alt-Backspace
3) Fn-F4
I can't seem to find anything in the forums relating directly to this problem other than the above solutions. I can set any of the power settings and see no discernible results.
I would really appreciate some help!
