Have Hardy Heron working inside Vista home premium on Acer laptop,
works okay on Ethernet but Broadcom 4318 chipset not working on Ubuntu but okay on Vista. Can't seem to set up with network management Driver downloaded and installed, Tried ndiswrapper etc, I'm confused. Never could get it to work outside Vista on Gutsy either so thought I would try Hardy inside Vista before I divorce Vista. Can't use Ubuntu on laptop if it won't work wireless.
Second problem is printer on windows network will not work on Ubuntu even on Ethernet. Printer is USB on Office pc:(

Are you running Hardy using Vmware on Vista?

Why don't you try using the Hardy Live CD?

Please post your brand/model/revision of your wireless adaptor.

Running Hardy onVista. Cd from Ubuntu has a flaw and would not install into Vista so downloaded from mirrorWireless adapter is built into the chipset and is listed in original post. Broadcom 4318. Live CD defeats the purpose of using Ubuntu. I want to get rid of Vista on this laptop, it is horrible.
