I didn't check, but I have a feeling that Adept updates my kernel every 10 days, which means I have to uninstall my old kernel every 10 days by hand. Which is a bit of a pain in the *** (yes, please, do call me a grumbler). Do we really need all this kernel updates? What would happen if I skipped some of them and installed only every third update?

And, is there a place I could see release dates of previous kernel updates which Ubuntu distributed through Adept? Now that I'm complaining I'm really interested in how often the updates emerge :-D

This broke my one remaining installation that dated back to beta. I have an old PC with a BIOS that will only scan so much HDD before it quits looking for a boot prompt, and after the last upgrade I had five different kernels installed. I just flattened and re-installed a release version. But it is a PITA.:(

pff... lack of stability.
I think jump some kernel upgrades will not be bad... At least to see if in a month this thing settles in a good one.
