Hi,
I have been looking for driver for my Asus P5N-E SLI motherboard and nvidia Geforce 8500GT drivers. Ubuntu installed all other drivers by itself; sound and video but Ethernet drivers are missing. I tried google and got to the page below…

Honestly, really don’t know which package is for ubuntu as I m a newbie and recently migrated from windows platform.
I need help with just 2 things, where to get these drivers if anyone had luck with finding drivers P5N-E SLI motherboard and graphics card.
Secondly I would really appreciate a step by step help with installing the drivers, as I mentioned, I did download tar.gz file form nvidia site but have no clue how to install those packages now though I know how to unpack the compressed file but then it creates a few folders and files, don’t know which file is the one to be executed and how
