Hi, I have an old notebook, NEC Versa S260. Its CD-ROM not working for the last few years and I'm thinking of installing Ubuntu into it thus replacing the existing Windows XP OS.
I have created Live USB using this tutorial:
http://www.sizzledcore.com/2008/06/02/how-to-create-a-live-usb-stick-of-ubuntu-804-hardy-heron/
Unfortunately, even I have configured my BIOS to boot from USB, it won't read the stick. Most likely because this notebook only capable to boot from USB floppy and NOT USB Stick.
Will it be possible for me to boot from floppy first, then instruct it to read my Live USB Stick?
What content shall I put in the floppy and where can I get it?
Thanks in advance for anyone who can guide me through this :-)
