I'm running Hardy. After installing kubuntu desktop, I decided to look at kde4.
So I ran sudo aptitude update && sudo aptitude install kde4-core. It all seemed to go normally.
When I restarted and changed my session to kde4, it started to load, showed the HD image, but then came a sound like "bleh", and there was only a black screen and with a cursor icon. Eventually the "Ready to go" music came, but no desktop. I also tried installing kde4 with Adept, but the result was the same as above.
Any suggestions?
