does anyone have a clue as to when Firefox 3 is going to be moved into the Gutsy repositories? I know it is in the Hardy repositories now, but it should be made available to all Ubuntu users.

From what I have read and think I know, the simple answer is that it will NOT be moved into the Gutsy repositories. It seems to me that once a release is made, there are only security updates made to the repositories for that release (w/ the possible exception of LTS releases, and I'm not sure on that). There are some threads around in the various Forums about this issue, and how to install FF3 in Gutsy, which I suggest you search for.

Meanwhile, this Wiki page might help you manually install FF3: https://help.ubuntu.com/community/FirefoxNewVersion

http://psychocats.net/ubuntu/firefox is also helpful.
