View Full Version : When will the stable version of Firefox 3 be released in the Ubuntu repositories?

I think Ubuntu is waiting for the patch to the Firefox's recently revealed flaw to be released, after that count a day or two untill they compile and test the new Firefox. But that's just my guess.

Afaik there's the RC which if is the 3rd one - might actually be the final release, however, regardless, we will have an update sooner or later, because the flaw that has been "found" exists in the final version, in all RCs and betas back to FF 2 (according to what I read on the mozilla blog, haven't "checked" it myself).

I have Firefox 3 (not rc) updated from the main repos, so it is already there. It won't come to any previous releases though, as major updates like that are not supported.

Even if it wasn't released in the repos, couldn't you just get it from firefox's website?
