Hello

I am having a problem with Ubuntu 8.04 and my laptop.

When running on AC power I have the laptop set to never sleep/shutdown. yet when left unattended it will power off after a certain amount of time (totally shutdown). I have had various previous versions of Ubuntu installed on this same machine in the past and have never seen this problem.

I need help in trying to diagnose this problem, as I am a relative newbie still.

Thanks in advance for your assistance.

Hi,

Thanks for your reply.

For AC Power I have "Put Computer to Sleep" Never; "Put display to sleep" Never

Don't understand why the machine just shuts down after a period of inactivity on AC power.

No one seems to know. Any help appreciated.

Thanks
