I've been getting lots of requests for wallpapers recently- asking where I got them. This was mainly before the Futurelooks pack, where I packaged a few of my favorites with my theme. So, without further ado, I'm providing links to what I think are the best wallpapers on the net... enjoy!

My first port of call... InterfaceLift

http://interfacelift.com/wallpaper/previews/01584_ladybughdr.jpghttp://interfacelift.com/wallpaper/previews/01583_rangitotodawn.jpghttp://interfacelift.com/wallpaper/previews/01568_greenparadise.jpg

This has always been a favorite for me, with wallpapers mostly consisting of fantastic photography of all kinds, and being regularly updated.

I recommend not just visiting this place once, but checking back every few days to see what new stuff is out. Here's the link to the latest wallpapers:

Quality over quantity - Desktopography

http://desk08.customize.org/thumbnail/thumb/57.jpghttp://desk08.customize.org/thumbnail/thumb/63.jpghttp://desk08.customize.org/thumbnail/thumb/26.jpg

A website I discovered very recently, which releases their wallpapers in annual exhibitions (a total of 4 including 2005). Most of their wallpapers are edited in some way, which creates some very arty designs. Also has some wallpapers which are suitable for dualscreen monitors. Impressive stuff.

On the link below, scroll down to find links to the various exhibitions.

Too much to look at... Deviantart

This website will suck hours out of your time if you're not careful, providing thousands of wallpapers in the various sections of the site. You can either search for the type of the wallpaper/image, or narrow it down using the "categories" menu and then choosing "customisation", then "wallpaper".

A massive guide in a guide!

http://88.198.60.17/images/wallpapers4/elemental.jpghttp://88.198.60.17/images/wallpapers4/tree.jpg

I recently found this gem of a guide which provided the most stunning wallpapers I'd seen in ages. The link is here, and will take a long time to get through, so get comfortable:

http://www.smashingmagazine.com/2008/02/12/really-stunning-desktop-wallpapers/

The second part of the guide...

http://88.198.60.17/images/awesome-wallpapers/008.jpghttp://88.198.60.17/images/awesome-wallpapers/057.jpg

It never ends! Take the same advice as above - you'll be on this page for a while...

Please note that some of these wallpapers are linked to a deviantart user called "-kol". His page is accessible on Windows, but not Linux. I've never understood why.

HDR Wallpapers

From the same website, there is also a massive guide to HDR images. The above rules apply ;)

This thread lacks some mandolux (http://www.mandolux.com/).
I find the site sort of hard to navigate but it's one of the best sources for dual-monitor wallpapers I've ever come across.

You can access it through Google cache. See the attached screenshot.
