[16:57:23] You do not have the appropriate Gstreamer plugin installed to play this file: file:///home/francois/Music/3 Doors Down-The Better Life-03 - Duck And Run.m4a

Does anybody know how to install this .mp4 plugin?

tnx

Do you have the Medibuntu repository enabled? I've a feeling that you will need the w32codecs from that repository (or the w64codecs, if using a 64-bit system).

Also, have you installed ubuntu-restricted-extras from the repositories?

http://www.medibuntu.org/ and click on the Howto at the top of the page, it will walk you through the process.
