does flash work in any other browsers? (because once you install flash once it should work in all of them)
to install flash you will probably want the one that says flashplugin-nonfree
first remove all other flashplayers you may have installed, then do this
sudo apt-get install flashplugin-nonfree

first of all try the new 9.50, it works great for me!!
I know i had problems with the last few builds but this is doing the trick for me. as for installing flash, its been awhile but I'll try.
download the deb from there sight, open terminal, navigate to the directory,
run app, it naturaly wants to load in firefox but change to opera.
give that a try and let us know how it works out...

well if your flash is working with firefox it should work with opera as well
to remove installed versions of flash you should just be able to go to
Applications-Add/Remove.. then just search flash and uncheck the box/boxes and click apply
then just reinstall like i said above (if it still dont work, then i have no idea)
also what satelight was saying is that if you are still using opera 9 then you should consider upgrading to opera 9.50
