what is the "printscreen" button? I'm learining shorrtcut keys and I keep coming across this with no explanation.

---In a normal keyboard it's right of F12 button. It is labeled as Prt Sc---

It copies what you seen on your screen. In Windows, it puts in on the clipboard. On Ubuntu, it asks what file to save it as.
Useful for taking screenshots of apps, etc.
On my keyboard, its next to scroll lock, above the arrow keys.

you maybe be refering to use that button (prtScr/SysRg) to shutdown when all else fails. Use that alt/SysRq with r.e.i.s.u.b giving a few seconds between each letter

thanks it was to the right of f10.
