I have an Kubuntu Hardy machine (upgraded from Feisty) and screensaver is set to lock after a timeout. Every once in a blue moon, I can't log back in even though I'm typing the correct password. It sucks because I have to REISUB and kill the box when it happens. This last time it happened I noticed some weird behaviour with the CTRL key just before it happened but not the other times. I'm always running a vmware virtual XP box in this session so it isn't pretty when I have to kill the box... Any help/suggestions would be appreciated. Even a command I could run via ssh when this happens so that I don't have to kill xorg / the box would be useful...
