-So I upgraded.
-Now I can't get to the desktop (never gets past the username and password screen).
-I can login and get to my desktop under a GNOME or Failsafe GNOME session.
-When I do I get a "Failed to Initialize HAL" message
-The system won't recognize my Optical Drive, or my external USB Hard Drive
-I can't backup
Help.
