Hi
Sent me old ubuntu lappy to a friend, and she is trying to get it wireless, however I sent her the lappy with my old connection settings still in place.

How can we get rid of my settings and input hers

Please help dont want me mate to give up on ubuntu before she has even started.


Ps the wireless card does work as was usin it in the lappy to do oftware updates before I sent it to her

go to the menu

system > administration > network

mark the wireless network card and click on properties

is that what you are lokking for? otherwise explain in more detail please.

basically my homehub settings are still in there and we are looking at a way to delete the old settings and put in a new one

still don't get what exactly you want to change?

do you have fixed IPs and want to assign a different IP, Gateway and so on to your network card? or change to DHCP.. because that is done how I posted earlier.. tried this? Why didn't it work and was there an error message?

in other words: what settings exactly do you need changed?
