View Full Version : [ubuntu] Nautilus crash when opening folder containing large files

June 20th, 2008, 01:56 PM
Just now I've downloaded 3.3 GB ISO using KTorrents and I specified the completed downloads to be saved into a folder (I name it TORRENT DOWNLOADS). When I tried to open the folder, nautilus crashed :(. By the way, the total size of the folder is 15 GB something, as it contains other downloads as well. I restarted my machine with hope that this will fix the problem but when I tried to reopen the folder, the same problem occurred. Anyone out there having the same problem? Anyone know how to fix this? Thanks in advance...

have you tried disabling previews?

it can be done under nautilus preferences / views

You mean via System->Preferences->File Management->Preview? What should I do then? Choose never for all the options?
