current "Hardy" repositories work with future releases??

Hi everybody

I downloaded 2 DVDs from here

ftp://tuma.ui.edu/pub/ubuntu-repository/hardy/

but i noticed they have different DVDs for feisty , edgy ,dapper , gutsy.

and i realized that by the time i finish the whole 5 DVDs, the new ubuntu will be out. :(

so will everything work for everything? :confused:

Each release has its own repository. They will not work with each other. The respective repository are closed once support runs out. Normal support is for 18 months; Long Term Support (LTS) is for 3 years on the desktop, and 5 years on the server.
