This problem just started...... Whenever I restart and log back into my desktop, Nautilus automatically opens at my Home Folder, and the System > Preferences > Appearance options box is open on top of that. Obviously, this is undesirable, and there don't seem to be any other untoward symptoms. Any idea how to troubleshoot this?

Thanks!

go to system>preferences>sessions and see if you have any weird startup programs or if its saving your session or something, i had a problem a while ago with the session save thing, might be the same for you.
