Can't view Windows shares

I have a Vista machine that i shared a couple of folders on. When i had Gutsy i could go to Places ==> Network and browse to my Vista's shared folders and all their contents. I did a clean install of Hardy recently and when i do the same thing, it shows my Vista pc on the network, but I can't access the folders.

I can browse xp folders from Ubuntu no problem though.

go to places->Computer and under Location type smb://x.x.x.x where x.x.x.x is the ip address of vista

ok, when i do that, it doesn't give me any errors, but it doesn't show anythign in the folder either.
