View Full Version : [ubuntu] Wireless connection info sometimes forgotten after reboot

June 19th, 2008, 07:07 PM
Hello all. I'm running Hardy Heron and can connect fine wirelessly or wired, but once in a while after a reboot it won't remember my wireless connection info. I have to enter the SID and key, then it connects fine. No error msgs or anything. This is using an Intel PRO/Wireless ipw3945 on a Dell Latitude D830, and all packages are the latest. I'm using WPA2. I have a Windows XP machine w/identical hardware that never has issues, so it doesn't seem to be the router. I use DHCP. The hardware is always seen correctly, and other wireless networks that publish their SID show-up even when my connection info is forgotten, so network manager is running and seeing other networks. Any ideas why this info sometimes vanishes from Ubuntu? TIA.

No one has any ideas? It's been this way since Gutsy. :(
