I just installed my laptop with Ubuntu 8.04 desktop using the iso to usb drive and then installed to another drive.
Everything seems fine, but when I get the graphic login screen I enter my user and password and then nothing happens, the background is blank, I can move the mouse around and when I press the powerbutton it shuts down as it's supposed to.
I tried dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg and removing .ICEauthority from my Home dir but no result.
Does anyone know how to fix this?
