View Full Version : [ubuntu] modifying my grub?

i recently, just to see if it would work, installed kubuntu on my USB HDD, it did work! yay!

now i want to remove it though, thing is, it obviously had to make changes to my bootloader on my normal boot drive (C:) - the one inside my pc, what i'd like to know is how do i remove it (the ubuntu installation boot option) from the grub menu (my terminology probably isn't right, i don't know what i'm talking about here)

also, i sometimes get a grub error when booting without the USB drive attached...

is there a 3rd party app out there that allows you to edit this or something??

If you also have Ubuntu installed on the internal drive, you can use the Ubuntu live cd to reinstall grub:
