question : how to write a keymap

hi.
i realize this maybe the wrong place to ask this.
but i have a minix installation but whit-out any danish keyboard map.
does anyone know how to write a keymap.

i have googled of course and nothing turned up on the subject.
the minix homepage just gives an email adresse that if someone has a keymap that is not included can send to.

i would be very grate-full for any pointers

Have you read the man-pages for the commands in the kbd-package? Can't seem to find the homepage for that package, but ubuntu has the source code http://packages.ubuntu.com/hardy/kbd

I think that package has all you need to create, modify and use keymaps

yes i have found the man pages for keymaps in debian and i have found the kdb-package last night. i did not know if this was what i was looking for
i have had littel time to read it
the problem is that i save a lot of old computers and fix them and give them away mostly and if you use the us keymap then danish lettes 'å,'ø','æ' is missing.
