[SOLVED] "Desktop" and "Área de Trabalho" mix-up after changing language

Hello!

I have changed the default language from English to Portuguese, but now I have a problem:

when I use the "Locais > Área de Trabalho" shortcut (equivalent to "Places > Desktop"), I get to an empty folder. If I change "Área de Trabalho" to "Desktop" and press enter, only then I'll have access to my desktop. I've tried rebooting with no success. What can I do?

After rebooting again, it's worse. The files I used to have in the desktop don't appear in the desktop anymore, even though they exist.

I easily solved the problem by moving the files from "Desktop" to "Área de Trabalho".
