The Ubuntu updates from June 17, broke my system. I start playing a Java
game over the network (www.pogo.com) and within 5 minutes my OS is
running so slow that the game stops working. Also any use of firefox,
I can see flickering in the Gnome Network Icon on the panel. There
were 56 updates, including Samba and firefox 3, a new linux kernel.
It's not Firefox 3
because I uninstalled it and reinstalled firefox 2. I am still having
the same problem with Firefox 2.
How do I uninstall the last updates? I can't have this not working any
longer. If I don't get an answer as to how this is done, I will be reformatting the computer back to Windows. I have never had this many problems with Ubuntu until this upgrade. This is the WORST upgrade ever.
This is not a long term support product because it is causing me no
end of difficulties. My system is an old laptop with 256 MB of RAM.
HELP!!!!!!:(.
