Today's updates brought along a new nVidia Free driver.

Will these perform well with the SERP2, or should I stick with the Proprietary driver?

Also, any news on the Microdia Webcam on the SERP2, and a System76 driver update to support it (now that that we know that a working solution works).

I have the same concerns as you. When I do presentations and want to see my screen and the projected image at the same time I have to go into nVidia and fiddle with the settings. With other computers and my IBM Thinkpad, the Fn key plus one of the F keys toggles the display very conveniently. I want the Serval (Serp2) to do the same. I'm trying to show of this computer to a crowd of Window devotees (read. slaves). I haven't seen these free drivers yet. Your question is a good one.

Also we are both waiting for the solution to the abssence of a working web cam.

Sincerely,

HKJ

Haven't tested the drivers.
Web cam should be integrated in the next driver release.

Good News!

Thanks to all the folks at System76 for continuing to pursue this.
