Hi,

I was wondering if it was possible to run an older version of a package in a newer release? The reason I ask is I would like to run the MythTV Frontend from the Gutsy release on Hardy so I can upgrade my desktop to Hardy. My MythTV server is still running Gutsy and I'm not ready to upgrade it yet. I'd like to upgrade my desktop first.

Thanks.

Axel

Darn, I was hoping someone would know if this is possible. I have used Prevu in the past to try packages from newer versions on older releases, and was wondering if there was a similar tool to do the opposite.

have you looked at backports.org?
They generally work the other way, with newer packages on older releases.
