This is horribly offtopic, but do you know of any place where I can get a concentrated crash course to learn how to speak Kurdish (from scratch) in Istanbul? Or in DC (US)*?
Thanks :)
* I think there is a kd language institute in DC but I'm not sure how good it is

I'd ask at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Washington_Kurdish_Institute and http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kurdish_Institute_of_Istanbul

"At home you have to speak Kurdish with me." Where did you find that one?
Before this gets too off-topic, a forum where you can ask for Kurdish translations is at http://ferheng.org/forum/

Fantastic! Thank you so much. I'm not kurdish, but i sent a small kurdish message to a kurdish friend(a few phrases i got from an internet site) and basically they sent a kurdish message back and i was set the challenge to figure it out. Thanks for the link and your help - may need to ask again!
