Installation failure on my laptop...-_-!!

hi all!
now i would like to install the ubuntu 7.1 on my compaq laptop with a live CD
but after i chose "install" from the main menu the laptop just hang after some time.
the last error line of message displayed on the screen was that "Error: Microcode "bcm43xx_microcode 5.fw" not available og load failed."...
it seems related to my Broadcom wireless card, is there any solution???
or the latest ubuntu 8.04 can help???

Have you checked the integrity of your Ubuntu CD by running the verification process that is found on the initial Ubuntu boot screen menu ?

I suspect thats a memory problem (I have similar problem). Check memory integrity before booting with your livecd. Or you can borrow/change the memory then install livecd. After install put back your old memory. It works for me!

I have the same problem on a Averatec 3200 series laptop.
