KDE falls back to KDM

When I try to start KDE since today it just falls back to the KDM. I checked in the Autostart folder under (~/.kde/Autostart) and deleted all entries. There must be somewhere else where the programs are being started upon startup of KDE since other things start. It is worth noting that this must be a KDE specific problems since Window Maker and other window managers start without a problem.

Help is greatly appreciated.

I'd try renaming your whole .kde directory and not just the autostart section. Not a solution, but can potentially pin-point the error.
