Greetings Ubuntu Community,
My attempt to re-join the Linux world seems to have been thwarted by a failed CD drive on my Thinkpad R31. I did resize Windows partition, and created linux swap and linux primary partitions before failure. However the device failed before the Ubuntu installation finished.
Now having no other device to boot from, except HDD, is it possible to install from the active Windows XP partition? Or, should I say, is it possible for a relative novice to do it?
Thanks in advance for your help.
Jacques
