My friend just moved and she gave me her old computer. Correction: she gave me her ancient computer. It's from 1995 and it has a 233mHz processor with 48MB of RAM and an 8GB hard drive.

Although this isn't an Ubuntu-specific question, I figured that this community would have knowledge of other Linux distros.

So my question is: what are some good distros that will run on this computer? I need something that includes a word processor that can save to .doc, and that's pretty much it. I'll mostly use this for typing papers for school, sending them to a USB flash drive, and printing them on another computer. There will be no internet connection.
