Hi. When i install ubuntu 8.04 or try live version this message appear after the ubuntu logo loading:

ata2.01:exception Emask 0x0 SAct 0x0 SErr 0x0 action 0x2 frozen
cmd a0/01:00:00:80:00/00
ata2.01:status:{DRDY}
Buffer I/O error on device fd0, logical block 0
etc, etc.

What can i do for fix this?

Hi and welcome, have you checked the cd for errors

Then you may want to do a checksum on the cd
