Okay, this might make some of you cry, but I have several old computer pieces that I don't need anymore, so I agreed to let my wife make some art out of it all.
I was thinking that I could potentially make the art piece kinetic, i.e. take apart an old harddrive and let the disks spin without the case, get fans turning, etc. The problem I'm having is how to get a computer power supply to provide power to the components without a motherboard to turn it on, and how to get the pieces to startup without a motherboard.
Any ideas on how I can get this to work?
