View Full Version : [ubuntu] 7.10 -> 8.04 upgrade: KDE apps hosed

I upgraded my working 7.10 setup to 8.10, and now some KDE apps no longer work, others complain.

Konversation just does nothing, kdevelop and kdesvn complain about dcopserver. (just to give some examples)

I can try to start dcopserver but then they just complain about something else...


I would have hoped 8.04 had upgraded all that was installed :(

Go to /home>Show Hidden Files. Look for .ICEauthority and delete it. Reboot and see if anything improves.
