Im in need of something that can record my desktop so i can make a video. I dont know of any for Ubuntu so can someone help out?

I've heard of something but unfortunately can't remember its name.... there's always the PrtSc button for still images.

There's gtk-recordMyDesktop and Istanbul, those are the most popular ones I believe. Both of them should be in the repositories.

agreed... gtk-recordmydesktop far surpasses Istanbul when used correctly. although Istanbul is easier to use.
