how do i install mobo drivers?

i installed ubuntu 8.04 and i have my drivers disk for my mobo. when i open the disk i see a linux folder with all the drivers. i cant get my computer to install the drivers so i can get my internet up. how do i install the drivers?

Hi and welcome, Have you tried the commands asked of you in your other thread http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=827520. What are the driver files, ie tar.gz, deb's? What is the make and model of the motherboard?
