[SOLVED] Version for Intel Core duo?

Keen to get started having completed PC assembly and installed Vista Home ok. Now want to try 64 bit version of Kubuntu - but uncertain as download site shows amd for 64 bit version.

Guidance appreciated

You can use the amd 64bit version with no problem. The amd is there due to historical reasons.

if your processor support 64bit , then download/install 64bit version. it will work.
