I just installed ubuntu on a bigger hdd and it was a fairly easy install as usual, but now that I'm in it, it appears that (at least) all deb-packages cannot be installed. I believe it could be the hdd that's in error, but I'm not sure at all. I had to format it from the ntfs partitions I had on it, and made it an entire ext3 from the ubuntu install-cd. I've pasted the error I got from trying to install unrar:
$ sudo apt-get install unrar
