How can skip the package in update-notifier that I don't want to update?

Some packages(just like audacious 1.4)that I compile it myself,I will not wish to update it. But the update-notifier always tell me 'you have new updatable package, how can i skip this package!

Find in synaptic package you don´t want to update>mark it>go to the package tab>lock version.
