Sigh, Big Brother. I guess some people won't mind. However, I feel nothing is 100% secure (which has a good and bad side), and systems like these can be used by more opressive countries.

(On a personal note, a certain relative of mine would never have been able to "escape" from his country without using another passport...)

well last time I was in the US my passport was not even looked at when I flew out of LA. So immigration believes I'm still in the country and currently overstaying my visa for almost 2 years.

Yeah, I got one a couple months ago. I'm hoping that by the time it expires in 10 years the people at large will wake up and put an end to this garbage.
