Help noob write a simple bash script, please!

I need to run an application with a prefix, in a specific directory.

Say directory is /home/tommy/project
and the string is
wxlua project.lua

Do I just post these lines in a .sh script, like "cd /home..." etc?

Yes you should just be able to do that :)
