I'm running 8.04 on Thinkpad T60p.
After I switched from Windows I'm really missing the Thinkvantage Access Connections software which allowed me to have multiple profiles (wired/wireless) with a Fn+F5 button.
How do I set up similar thing on Ubuntu? wpa_supplicant? I installed it but I was unable to configure it. :(

I need 3 profiles:

1. HOME.LAN = for use for home wired network (static IP address)
2. HOME.WLAN = WPA2, ESSID broadcast off, static IP addresses
3. College = WEP PEAP EAP, 802.1x

Is it possible to have it all? And to easily switch from one to other with a "push of a button"?

What's the easier way to configure this? wpa_gui says it can't get status from wpa_supplicant.

Help me out

Sincerely,

- Ivan
